Duke Sweeps ACC Lacrosse Weekly Honors

DURHAM, N.C.—For the first time this season Duke men's lacrosse landed a sweep in the ACC weekly awards as senior Jordan Wolf and sophomore Luke Aaron garnered the Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week awards following the Blue Devils' win at Notre Dame. This is Wolf's third award of the season and Aaron's first career honor.

Wolf extended his point streak to 53 games and his goal scoring streak to 14 with four goals and

three assists in Duke's 15-7 win over the Fighting Irish. With his three assists, Wolf became just the fourth player in Duke lacrosse history and 14th in ACC history to amass 100 goals and 100 assists in his career. The four goals marked the Wynnewood, Pa., native's seventh hat trick this season. He has scored at least seven points four times this season.

Aaron, a first-year starter between the pipes for Duke, picked up his ninth win of the year with 10 saves against Notre Dame. Aaron helped Duke hold the Fighting Irish to fewer than 10 goals, including just two in the first half, for just the third time this season. The Great Falls, Va., native made five first‐quarter saves en route to keeping the Irish off the scoreboard for 21:57 as Duke built a 5‐1 lead. Aaron also picked up a career‐high five ground balls in the win.

The Blue Devils, ranked second nationally and atop the ACC standings, close out their ACC regular season schedule Friday at Virginia. Faceoff is set for 6 p.m., on ESPNU.
