DURHAM, N.C. – Tenth-ranked Duke continues a three-game homestand Sunday at noon against non-conference opponent Jacksonville.

Jacksonville Series History
Duke and Jacksonville met for the first time in series history last season, with the Blue Devils earning a 10-7 victory in Jacksonville ... The Dolphins enter their fifth season in 2013-14.

Last Time We Met
Kelci Smesko collected the first hat trick of her career to lift Duke to a 10-7 victory over Jacksonville March 13 in Florida ... The contest marked the first meeting between the two teams ... The Blue Devils took a one-goal advantage into halftime and outscored the Dolphiins 6-4 in the second period in the win ... A strong second-half showing at the draw helped Duke win the category by an 11-8 margin while Jacksonville held the edge in shots (24-21) and ground balls (17-12) ... Defender Gabby Moise finished the game with two caused turnovers and goalkeeper Kelsey Duryea totaled nine saves in her third start of the season.

Jacksonville is 4-3 on the spring heading into Sunday's non-conference contest ... The Dolphins downed Longwood 22-8 in their last action March 8 ... The team ranked third nationally in ground balls (24.43 gb/g) entering the week and was fifth in draw controls (15.86 dc/g) ... Morgan Derner (19g, 6a) and Taylor McCord (14g, 11a) pace the attack with 25 points each with Derner ranking top-20 in the country in goals ... Ali Brennan and Brittney Orashen lead the squad with 15 draw controls for the season while Orashen also has a team-high 13 caused turnovers ... In goal, Asia Moore has logged a 14.17 goals against average and a .331 save percentage.

Scouting the Blue Devils
Duke (5-3, 1-1 ACC) held Davidson to just six shots and utilized two 10-0 scoring runs Thursday to collect a 21-2 win over the Wildcats ... Junior attacker Kerrin Maurer guides the offense with 26 goals and 13 assists while sophomore Kelci Smesko is second on the team with 19 points (14g, 5a) ... Returning All-American defender Taylor Virden leads the way in draw controls (29) and caused turnovers (13) ... Sophomore goalkeeper Kelsey Duryea, a second team All-America selection last spring, owns a 9.30 goals against average and a .462 save percentage in the net ... Duke's balanced attack is outscoring opponents by a 116-73 margin ... The squad ranked ninth nationally in points entering the week.

Last Time Out
Balanced scoring and a stalwart defensive effort guided Duke to a 21-2 victory over Davidson Thursday evening at Koskinen Stadium ... Nine different Blue Devils tallied goals in the win with senior Maddy Morrissey, juniors Kerrin Maurer, Katie Trees and Taylor Trimble and sophomore Kelci Smesko all posting hat tricks ... Defensively, Duke limited the Wildcats to just two goals on six shots, with the two scores marking a season-low output by a Blue Devil opponent ... Duke outshot Davidson 36-6 and won the ground ball battle, 12-8 ... Senior Taylor Virden won five draw controls and Maurer added three to help the Blue Devils earn the edge in that category, 18-6 ... Balanced Attack
Fifteen different Blue Devils have scored a goal and 13 players have notched at least one assist this season ... Twelve Blue Devils have recorded multiple-goal games, led by junior Kerrin Maurer, who owns four hat tricks ... In a 25-4 season-opening victory over Elon Feb. 7, 14 different Duke players found the back of the net with Maurer tallying a career-high six markers.

Maurer Quarterbacking the Offense
Junior attacker Kerrin Maurer is once again one of the Blue Devils' most dependable playmakers up front ... She leads the team this spring in points (39), goals (26) and assists (13) and ranks second in draw controls (20) ... The Setauket, N.Y., native was third in the ACC and 12th nationally in points per game with a 5.00 average at the beginning of last week ... Maurer was also tied for third in the conference in scoring at 3.29 goals per game.

Virden Quick on the Draw
Duke is 3-1 this spring when winning the draw controls category ... Senior defender Taylor Virden has been scrappy on the wings, leading the team with 29 draw controls ... She ranked seventh in the ACC in draws entering the week ... Virden won a career-high six draws last season against Vanderbilt (March 2, 2013) and has notched five draw controls on three occasions this year ... The Ellicott City, Md., native ranks fifth on Duke's all-time list for career draw controls with 151 over her four seasons.

Devilish on Defense
Duke's defensive unit has held opponents without a goal for 15 minutes or more eight times this season ... The longest scoreless streak of the year came in a 14-6 win over ACC opponent Virgnia Tech March 9.

Junior Kerrin Maurer has tallied at least one point in a career-high 14 consecutive games dating back to last season ... The Setauket, N.Y., native has scored multiple goals in all eight games this spring and recorded multiple assists four times ... Sophomore Kelci Smesko and junior Brigid Smith are also in the midst of career-long scoring streaks as Smesko has tallied a point in each of the last nine outings and Smith in each of the last eight.

Maurer, Virden Moving Up Career Lists
Senior defender Taylor Virden and junior attacker Kerrin Maurer provide veteran experience at both ends of the field ... Maurer paces the Blue Devils in points, goals and assists this season and is currently tied for sixth all-time in career assists (72) and ranks 13th in program history in career points (158) ... Maurer reached the 100-point barrier and topped the 50-assist milestone as a sophomore last season ... Virden leads the team in draw controls and caused turnovers in 2014 and ranks fifth all-time in career draw controls with 151 ... She is also approaching the 100-ground ball mark for her career with 98 over four seasons.

Duryea Tops 200-Save Mark
Sophomore goalkeeper Kelsey Duryea, a second team IWLCA All-American last year, reached the 200-save plateau against Virginia Tech (March 9) ... The netminder from Beverly, Mass., has 61 saves this season and 205 for her career ... She currently ranks sixth on Duke's all-time saves chart and joins Shannon Chaney (1997-00) and Meg Huether (2003-06) as the only goalkeepers in program history to top the 200 career goals mark in their second season.

Home Sweet Home
The Blue Devils have been tough to beat at Koskinen Stadium in recent years ... From 2007-13, the program notched a 54-11 record when playing at home, including 10-0 marks in 2007 and 2011 ... Duke is 3-3 at home this spring following the victory over Davidson Thursday.
