Setting the Scene...
After having six days off for the Christmas holiday, the fourth-ranked Duke women's basketball team (10-0) will return to action on Sunday, Dec. 30 as the Blue Devils will host Monmouth (3-7) at 2:00 p.m., in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Fans can follow the action live on the Blue Devil Network with HD video at www.GoDuke.com, while the game will also be aired live on the Blue Devil IMG Sports Network on WDNC AM 620 with Steve Barnes (PXP) and Morgan Patrick (Color) calling the contest. Sunday's contest will also feature a tacky holidays sweater promotion in which prizes will be given to the fans wearing the most unique sweaters. Also, fans wearing a sweater will receive a $3 general admission ticket to the game.
Following the game on Sunday, the Blue Devils will return to ACC play to face N.C. State on Thursday, Jan. 3 at 7:00 p.m., on ESPN3.
Storylines/Other Blue Devil Notes...
• The Blue Devils have won 57 straight home contests against unranked non-conference opponents.
• Duke owns a 35-2 record against non-conference opponents at home in Cameron Indoor Stadium dating back to the 2008-09 campaign. • The Blue Devils have notched a 29-2 record in the month of December over the last four years. Duke has won 45 straight home games in the month of December with the last loss coming to UCLA on Dec. 20, 1997 (83-93).
• Duke registered six different players with double-figure scoring against CSU Bakersfield. Now nine Blue Devils have scored double-figures at least one time this year.
• Duke has hit 50.0 percent or better from the field in four different games.
• The Blue Devils own five different student-athletes hitting over 40.0 percent or better from downtown -- Tricia Liston (51.2), Chelsea Gray (47.4), Haley Peters (53.3), Chloe Wells (40.0 and Alexis Jones (46.2).
• Elizabeth Williams has blocked at least one shot in every collegiate game she has played - 43 straight. The streak is the second-best in school history behind Alison Bales' 55 in 2003-05.
• Tricia Liston posted two three-pointers in the St. John's contest to move past the 100-trey mark of her career (107). She has hit at least one three-pointer in 17 straight games, which is the longest streak since Georgia Schweitzer hit 25 straight treys in 2000-01.
• In dissecting the top shot blockers in the nation, Elizabeth Williams is the only underclassman to rank in the top eight in the country.
• Chelsea Gray came close to registering her second career triple-double against California with 13 points, nine assists and eight rebounds as well as 11 points, nine rebounds and eight assists against CSU Bakersfield.
• The Blue Devils registered 70 or more points in the opening seven contests for the first time since 2005-06.
• Duke held Iona to 31 points, which marks the 18th time under Coach P the Blue Devils have held an opponent to under 40 points.
• Chelsea Gray had her consecutive free throws made streak come to an end at Michigan at a school-record 37.

Tacky Sweater Promotion...
Don't pack up those holiday sweaters yet. Wear your best, worst or tackiest holiday sweater to historic Cameron Indoor on December 30th as the Blue Devils women's basketball team play Monmouth.

Hey, I Know You...
Haley Peters of Duke grew up 10 minutes away from Monmouth. She is best friends with freshman Kasey Chambers of the Hawks. Peters' first basketball coach was Kasey Chambers' mother, Mary Beth Bowler, who coached her from around age eight until 13.
Peters also went to soccer and basketball camp at Monmouth a few times growing up.
Home Sweet Home...
Since Joanne P. McCallie took over as head coach at Duke in 2007-08, she has guided the Blue Devils to a 75-5 overall record in Cameron Indoor Stadium. During that stretch, the Blue Devils posted a 14-0 mark in 2008-09 and a 17-0 ledger in 2010-11, which were only the second and third undefeated home seasons in school history.
Duke's loss to Connecticut last year snapped a school-record 34-game winning streak in Cameron. It was only the program's second loss at home over the last 64 games. Duke has won 75 out of the last 80 contests, 89 out of the last 94 and 170 out of the last 181 games in Cameron since 2000-01.
The other top win streaks at home have been -- 34 (2010-12), 24 (2005-06 through 2007-08; 2007-08 through 2009-10; 21 (2001-02 through 2002-03), 20 (2003-04 through 2004-05) and 16 (1998-99 through 1999-2000).
Gray, Williams Named to All-Tourney Team...
Chelsea Gray and Elizabeth Williams had stellar performances during the Women of Troy Basketball Classic. Gray was selected the MVP, while Williams was named to the all-tournament team.
Gray averaged 14.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 4.0 steals in the two games. She almost had a triple-double against CSU Bakersfield with 11 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. In the final game versus USC, Gray totaled a game-high 18 points, 10 rebounds, five steals and three assists.
Williams averaged 17.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 blocks, 1.0 steals and 1.0 assists. She had 21 points and eight rebounds in the CSU Bakersfield contest, while notching 13 points, five rebounds and five blocks at USC.
Undefeated Starts...
The Blue Devils have registered a 10-0 start to the season for only the sixth time in school history.
Duke's 10-0 start is the second-best kick-off to the season under Coach P. (20-0 in 2010-11).

Williams Solid Play...
Since not scoring double-figures in the season opener against Presbyterian, sophomore Elizabeth Williams has averaged 17.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.8 blocks, 1.1 steals and 1.0 assists over the last nine games.
She has hit 56.5 percent of her field goals during that span.
Liston From Downtown...
Junior Tricia Liston continues to fire away from downtown as she is hitting 51.2 percent from three-point land and is averaging 2.2 treys a contest.
She has hit 8-of-her-last-14 three-point field goal attempts over the final three games.
Liston tied a season high with four treys at Southern California. She has hit 13 straight free throws on the season and drained a trey in 17 consecutive games.
Gray Posting Impressive Numbers...
Junior Chelsea Gray is registering very impressive numbers once again this year. Between her points scored and assists this season she is averaging 28.6 points a game of Duke's 82.1, which is 34.8 percent of the Blue Devils' scoring.
At Xavier, Gray contributed a season-high 44 of the Blue Devils' 82 points. Gray is averaging 14.6 points per game and 14.0 points off assists.
Williams Moving Up the Blocks List...
Elizabeth Williams owns 151 career blocks to move into a tie for fifth on Duke's career charts. Williams, who is only a sophomore, holds a career blocked shot average of 3.6 per game.
Stellar Assist/Turnover Ratio...
The Blue Devils have opened the season with a 1.3 assist/turnover ratio, which ranks eighth nationally.
The 1.32 ratio is the best for Duke since a 1.39 assist/turnover ratio in 2003-04, which is also the school record.

Sharp Shooting Peters...
Over her first three years at Duke, junior Haley Peters has hit over 50.0 percent from the field in each of those seasons.
She hit 52.2 percent as a freshman, 51.2 percent as a sophomore and has drained 52.5 percent so far this season.
Peters joins only Alana Beard (2001-03), Chante Black (2005-08), Payton Black (1996-99), Ali Day (1993-95), Tyish Hall (1994-97), Monika Kost (1988-92), Chris Moreland (1985-88) and Rochelle Parent (1998-01) as Duke players to hit 50.0 percent or better from the field in their first three years.
