DURHAM, N.C. - Both the men's and women's Blue Devil track and field squads earned the distinction of being named to the 2012 Division I All-Academic Track & Field Teams as announced Thursday by the USTFCCCA. 

The women earned the highest of all 171 institutions with a cumulative GPA of 3.58 while the men ranked second on the men's list which included 85 other institutions.  As a team, the men's cumulative GPA was 3.46.  Stanford was the only team that ranked higher with a GPA of 3.49.

A team earns the distinction when their cumulative GPA is a 3.00 or better.  As a conference, the ACC had seven women's teams and six men's teams garner the honor.
