CARNOUSTIE, United Kingdom - Laetitia Beck's run at the Ladies' British Open Amateur came to an end on Friday as the Blue Devil rising junior fell in the quarterfinals of match play at the 6,563-yard, par 72 Championship Course located at the Carnoustie Golf Links in Carnoustie, United Kingdom.
Beck dropped a 4&2 decision to Perrine Delacour of France in the quarters, following posting three match play wins. She downed Meghan Maclaren (3&1) in the first round, Jisoo Keel (4&3) in the second round and Augusta James (5&4) in round three.
A two-time All-ACC selection, Beck posted rounds of 76 and 79 in qualifying to place 55th overall.
Duke incoming freshman Celine Boutier also competed in the amateur tournament. Boutier placed second in qualifying with rounds of 70 and 71 before falling in the second round of match play to Georgia Hall in which she did not compete.
