TORONTO, Canada – After collecting a 1-2 record in group action, Duke junior Rebecca Quinn and Canada's Women's National Team advanced to the semifinal portion of the Pan American Games, which will take place Wednesday, July 22 in Toronto, Canada.

Canada opened action with a 5-2 victory over Ecuador, but then dropped 2-0 decisions to Costa Rica and Brazil to close action.  The Canada squad advanced due to a better goal differential than Costa Rica.  In the semifinals, Quinn and Canada will face Group A winner Colombia.

In the other semifinal match, Brazil will take on Mexico July 22.

Quinn, who is a native of Toronto, Canada, continued to start for Canada and play on both the defensive and midfield positions, while playing all 270 minutes so far during the Pan American Games.
