Former U.S. Ambassador to Israel Thomas Nides discussed his most recent post in Israel, the current political situation, and U.S. foreign policy in the region last week. In conversation with Duke Professor David Schanzer, Nides said he thought movement toward a normalization deal between Israel and Saudi Arabia was ”a big deal.”

Duke’s Program in American Grand Strategy and the Rudnick Lecture at the Duke Center for Jewish Studies sponsored the event.
