This "coolie" from Duke Stores will be awarded to a lucky participant who submits a photo showing Working@Duke what an extra hour of sunlight means to them.

Despite the snow, ice and freezing rain of recent winter weather, the weekend forecast is bright and spring will soon be in the air.

The start of spring is March 20, but we'll get a head start on the season March 9, when we spring forward with Daylight Saving Time. As our clocks change, so to will our days, gaining an extra hour of sunlight. By the end of this month, the average sunset will be taking place after 7:30 p.m.

What will you do with that extra amount of light this weekend? Working@Duke wants to know.

Whether you're grilling, hiking, gardening or just putting up your feet outside, we want to see how Duke employees are excited to use their extra hour of sunlight. Through noon on Tuesday, March 11, share images of how you enjoyed that extra hour of sun - and we'll even reward one lucky participant. Post your photos on the Working@Duke Facebook page or email them to working@duke.edu.

After compiling all the submitted pictures into a Facebook photo album, we'll randomly choose a participant to win a Duke magnetic can "coolie" to keep beverages cool during warm weather.

Enjoy this weekend's sunny skies and don't forget your camera.
