BWF Gives 5-Year Award to Jörn Coers

Enables study of infectious pathogens

Jörn Coers, an assistant professor of molecular genetics and microbiology in the school of medicine, is one of ten early-career scholars awarded a $500,000, 5-year award from the Burroughs Wellcome Fund. The BWF Investigators in Pathogenesis of Infectious Disease Award (PATH) will enable Coers to continue his work on how cells break apart invading pathogens.
