HR Policy Manual Updated
As part of a regular review process, Human Resources has updated the online HR Policy Manual with changes to policies regarding confidentiality, protected health information, benefit enrollment and voluntary deductions for benefits.
Below are brief descriptions for the changes:
- Protected Health Information and Patient Privacy: corrective action descriptions updated to be consistent with Duke Health policy
- Confidentiality: corrective action descriptions updated to be consistent with Duke Health policy
- Enrolling and Making Changes to Benefits: language updated to reflect the online submission via Duke@Work of benefit enrollment or request for changes.
- Voluntary Deductions: the phrase “reimbursement account” removed from language describing which voluntary deductions can be stopped before the final paycheck.
The online HR Policy Manual is updated twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring. A listing of all the changes can be found on the Polices section of the Human Resources website under Revision Notes.
