Welcome to the week at Duke in 60 seconds.

A new independent institute at Duke will work on preserving America’s national parks. It will sponsor research on new management practices, training for park managers and raising public awareness.

Duke recently partnered with Uber to provide students and employees free rides between the Duke Lemur Center and campus locations. A special promo code covers the cost of the ride.

A Duke Global Health Institute team is collaborating with a Mongolian research team to bring rapid diagnostics of flu to rural areas. The project aims to preserve the health of the Mongolian people and their animals.

Mark your calendars for the week of April 10 for the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival. This year’s festival theme is campaigns, candidates and the electoral process.

Finally, there’s still time to catch some free fun at Duke in March. Check out Working@Duke for a round-up of free seminars, events and films.
