Rhodes Scholars; Stealth Cuttlefish: The Week at Duke {in 60 Seconds}

Subscribe to the podcast.

Welcome to the week at Duke in 60 seconds.

We’re wrapping up the fall semester here at Duke. Check out highlights from fall 2015 in our compilation video on Duke’s YouTube channel

Researchers at Duke have discovered that cuttlefish have a stealth mode. When they see a predator approaching, they can camouflage visually, but they can also cloak their own electrical fields.

Congratulations to Duke’s new Rhodes Scholars, Laura Roberts and Jay Ruckelshaus. They are the 44th and 45th students at Duke to receive the prestigious scholarship to study for three years at the University of Oxford in England.

If you’re looking for free, fun things to do in December at Duke, check out the list from Working at Duke. Events include concerts, exhibits and even a craft day at Duke Gardens.

Finally, this is our last update for the semester. We wish our fellow students luck on exams, and we wish everyone safe and happy holidays.
