Mike Posner Visits; Campaign Stop 2016: The Week at Duke {in 60 Seconds}

Welcome to the Week at Duke in 60 Seconds.

Last week, musician and Duke alumnus Mike Posner spoke and performed at the Duke Entertainment Media and Arts Networking Weekend. Other events included alumni-led workshops and panel discussions about the entertainment and media industries.

A newly launched website called Campaign Stop 2016 will highlight the Duke community’s conversations about the 2016 election. The year-long project will incorporate multiple forms of media including podcasts, videos and blogs. 

Rubenstein Library’s new digital collection of advertising materials features more than 1,800 individual trading cards. The collection documents popular culture from the turn of the twentieth century, and provides insight into American humor and cultural norms.

Finally, President Brodhead honored a group of faculty and staff last week in Duke Gardens for their efforts to promote diversity and teamwork.
