Campus Parking, Transit Adjust for July 4

Some routes will not run on the holiday

Duke Parking and Transportation Services will make adjustments to parking and transit routes for the Independence Day holiday.  

  • Duke Transit will operate limited service on Friday, July 3. The CCX weekend schedule will be in effect on July 3 from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. The H, PR1 and LL will not run Friday.
  • In observance of the holiday, no Duke Transit routes will operate on Saturday, July 4. Regular service will resume on Sunday, July 5.
  • Duke Vans will not be in service on July 3 and will resume normal operations at 5 p.m. on July 4.

Parking Garage I, Parking Garage II, Parking Garage III and the Research Drive Garage will operate on normal schedules throughout the holiday weekend. Parking Garage IV will be available for free parking Friday through Sunday. In addition, most parking lots on West, Central and East campuses will be open for motorists.

The Parking and Transportation Services offices on Campus Drive and in Duke Clinic will be closed on July 3 in observance of the Independence Day holiday.
