Celebrating Ramadan: Iftar at the Center for Muslim Life

Imam Zeb at iftar

Duke Muslim Chaplain Imam Adeel Zeb talks with students Tuesday during iftar, the meal of the daily breaking of the fast. They come together for the prayer services during the month of Ramadan.

Ramadan began on the evening of June 17 and will continue until July 18. Iftar is conducted shortly after sunset and is meant to be a shared experience of prayer, food and fellowship. Duke's Center for Muslim Life, located on campus at 406 Swift Ave., will host iftars every Monday thru Thursday at around 8:30 p.m. each night.

A full schedule of events during the holy month can be found here. For more information, contact the center at 613-6780.
