Over its first two weeks, Working@Duke’s #DukeTimeOff photo campaign has received dozens of photos from employees enjoying the beaches of North Carolina, rural landscapes of Kentucky all the way to ancient monuments Europe.

“Step 1: Save up vacation and funds for a year Step 2: Visit the Parthenon” wrote Kyle Fox, associate director of the University Center Activities and Events, showing a photo of him and his wife, Valerie, at the Parthenon in Athens, Greece, in May.

Along with others, that image will be considered for the first prize – a Duke beach chair – as part of Working@Duke’s campaign to highlight hobbies and adventures of faculty and staff this summer.

In addition to seasonal prize packs to be awarded at the end of the campaign in August, the Working@Duke Editorial Team will award individual prizes in June and July that include:

  • An overnight stay with breakfast at the Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club
  • Lunch at the Washington Duke Inn’s Fairview Dining Room
  • Duke-themed beach chairs from Duke Stores

An ongoing collection of submissions can be found on this website, as well as Working@Duke’s Facebook page. Submissions can be made by sharing photos on social media with #DukeTimeOff or by using this online form. Take your best shot between May 18, 2015 and August 10, 2015 and share your photo to be eligible for prizes. Full details can be found in this story.
