History Graduate Student Wins Newcombe Fellowship Award
Grant will fund dissertation work in Spain
The Woodrow Wilson Foundation has awarded a Charlotte W. Newcombe Fellowship to Duke history Ph.D. candidate Rochelle Rojas. The competitive award is granted to Ph.D. students who are nearing the end of their studies, to facilitate dissertation research and writing. The $25,000 prize will enable Rojas to complete her manuscript on witches in 16th and 17th century Spain.
