Traffic Advisory: Lane Closure by West Campus

Motorists traveling by the southern tip of West Campus may experience delays Friday morning as Duke oversees the removal of a large tree in poor health at the corner of Duke University Road and Cameron Boulevard.

During removal work, which will take place from approximately 8 to 11 a.m., the right-hand turn ramp, also known as a “slip ramp”, will be closed and right-hand turns will need to be made at the intersection’s traffic light instead.

Throughout the morning, traffic control devices and a crew will help direct traffic.

Tree care and maintenance is a normal part of the Facilities Management Department’s wood use policy.
