Four undergraduate students from Nepal have organized a relief effort on campus to help the country in the aftermath of a violent earthquake that killed at least 3,000 people and left thousands more homeless.

The GoFundMe effort will directly provide relief to those affected by the quake. Launched by Pratiksha Sharma, Suman Bajgain, Abhishek Upadhyaya and Laxmi Rajak, the drive will provide food, clean water and shelter for the victims. Two of the students will return to Nepal in less than two weeks and will work directly with local organizations.

"Once we get to Nepal and start working on the relief process, we will post the updates and pictures through the Facebook page; we will also provide details on how the money is being used," the students said in a message to the Duke community.
