Traffic/Parking Advisory: Athletics Events Friday, Sunday

Women’s NCAA basketball tournament and tennis teams in action

Duke community members will see increased traffic this Friday and Sunday as Duke hosts the opening-round games of the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament and tennis matches on West Campus. 

On Friday, basketball games are scheduled to begin at noon and 2:30 p.m., while a men’s tennis match is slated for 3 p.m. On Sunday, basketball will tip off at noon while the women’s tennis team hosts an 11 a.m. match and the men’s team plays at 3 p.m.

During these times, students and employees should expect heavier traffic on-and-around campus, as well as impacts to parking availability in some lots.

On Friday, public parking will be made available beginning at 7 a.m. at these locations: 

On Sunday, public parking will be open in the Blue Zone Lots.

On both days, parking staff will be on-hand to direct vehicles to available parking area as lots reach capacity.
