Several students have created SMSmart, an Android app that could make life easier for travelers or those who don’t have a cell phone data plan. The app allows users to access services like Yelp or Google Maps on their cell phones without using wifi or data. Instead, it uses text messages to receive requests and then presents the information on a colorful interface.
