Why You Should 'Unpark' to Win an ELF
Bike-electric vehicle is grand prize for employees, grad students in sustainability competition
Starting today, Duke employees and graduate students will compete in the Unpark Yourself Challenge, a team-based competition to encourage sustainable commuter options. The grand prize: an ELF, a recumbent bike-electric vehicle hybrid that uses no gas, is road safe, travels up to 35 miles per hour and parks at a bike rack.
ELF rider and Duke professor Charlotte Clark explains why she loves her ELF and why participants should get excited to win one of their own.
So far, 117 teams have formed. To learn more about the competition and sign up, visit the Unpark Yourself website.
