Document Duke 360 on Display

Photos documenting university life to go on exhibit in Allen Building Gallery

Document Duke 360 is heading to the Allen Building Gallery, where 12 photos capturing the university experience will be on display from March 27-May 15.

The project, a collaboration between Duke Photography and the Center for Documentary Studies, collects photos from Duke alumni, faculty, staff and students. From research in the Antarctic to stage performances on campus, the photos create a visual conversation about life at Duke and how we experience it.

"It's exciting to see the perspective of Duke through the lenses of so many photo enthusiasts affiliated with Duke," said Chris Hildreth, director of Duke Photography. "To date we have had more than 400 submissions to the project."

A new photo is featured each day through 2015. The contributions are coming from alumni, students, faculty and staff and to date, the submissions have included several spell-binding images.   The Allen Building exhibit will feature 30x30 prints and a video screen rotating the images of the day from January and February.

Project organizers are hopeful the Duke community will continue the submissions throughout the year. You can submit up to three images a day, the only restrictions are they must have been taken in 2015 and they must be at least 1mb in size.

There are two ways of submitting images:

* Tag the photos on your Instagram page with #Duke360

* Follow the submission instructions on the #Duke360 website.
