Celebrate Duke Medicine’s Tobacco-Free Anniversary

All employees are invited to learn more about cessation programs

As a way to celebrate another year of being tobacco-free at Duke Medicine facilities, LIVE FOR LIFE, Duke’s employee wellness program, is visiting with the Duke community to share tips and information about how to quit tobacco.

Throughout July, LIVE FOR LIFE staff will set up an information table at to share information about how to quit, help others quit, and how to find a free, Duke-led cessation program that fits an individual’s needs:

  • July 16, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. - Duke Medicine Pavilion Entrance
  • July 21, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. - Duke Clinical Research Institute Durham Center 1st Floor

All employees are welcome to join the events - including smokers trying to quit, former tobacco users and non-users.

Since July 4, 2007, the use of tobacco products has not been permitted inside or outside any Duke Medicine hospital campus, outpatient facility, physicians or administrative offices, or medical and nursing schools.
