Campus Drive Closure, C2 Reroute Starts June 16

Construction will last until July 14

From June 16 through mid-July, Duke Transit's C2 bus route will detour around construction that's scheduled to take place on Campus Drive between Oregon Street and Swift Avenue.

The roadwork is an extension of a current project along Campus Drive to install piping from West Campus to assist in the cooling of buildings on East Campus. The new work, scheduled to last until July 14, will now prevent C2 buses from stopping along Campus Drive between Oregon and Main streets. Instead, the C2 will be rerouted to and from Erwin Road. Passengers who typically are picked up at Swift Avenue and Smith Warehouse can receive shuttle service by calling Duke Vans at (919) 684-2020.

Smith Warehouse will be served by Duke Vans at the Maxwell Street stop during the closure.

In addition, the Swift Avenue-Campus Drive intersection will be completely closed to traffic from July 11 to 14. During that time, C2 bus stops along Swift Avenue will not be served. Duke Vans will provide passenger shuttles to and from the stop at Swift Avenue and Caswell Place by request by calling (919) 684-2020.

During construction, Duke community members are encouraged to use the Transloc app, which can be accessed on a smartphone or desktop browser. Transloc provides real-time information on location and stops for Duke buses.
