Traffic Advisory: Portion of Towerview To Close Saturday
Small section will be closed off to traffic for Duke Reunions
Motorists traveling on West Campus Saturday evening won’t be able to access the entire throughway of Towerview Road as Duke hosts special events in K-Ville as part of Duke Reunions Weekend.
From 6 p.m. Saturday until 2 a.m. Sunday, roadblocks will be set up at the intersection of Towerview Road and Union Drive and at the Towerview traffic circle adjacent to Ambler Tennis Stadium.
Only emergency vehicles will be allowed through the roadblocks. All other traffic will need to detour around campus using Cameron Boulevard/751.
Motorists will still be able to enter campus at Towerview's campus entrance points at Erwin and Duke University roads, so access to Science Drive will be available.
Police and security will be on hand at each roadblock to direct traffic as necessary.
