Snow Day Traffic Jam: The VIew from Duke

Some of Duke Today's readers might recognize their car in this picture, taken Wednesday by Duke co-worker Kathleen McEwen from the top floor of Hock Plaza across from Duke Hospital on Erwin Road. A combination of heavy traffic and a quick, heavy snowfall brought many area roads to a standstill. Duke employees reported five-hour journeys to Raleigh and trips of two-plus hours to Chapel Hill and Carrboro.
