Photo of Pet Pig Among Entries in Contest

Submit your pet picture by noon on Feb. 7

NutNut_V.jpg
Peanut, also known as "Nut Nut," the pot-belly pig, is just one image shared as part of Working@Duke's pet photo contest. The image was shared by employee Susan Story-Hill.

Working@Duke asked for your pet photos and you delivered.

We've been so moved by the collection of images - from hamsters to pot-belly pigs - we decided to open up the contest to any images of your furry (or fluffy or scaly) companions. All Duke community members are eligible to participate.

Duke staff and faculty members have until noon on Feb. 7 to share an image of their family pet. We'll still give extra consideration to pictures with a Duke theme. We also prefer entries to be new images taken since Jan. 1, 2014.

As a reminder, here are the rules:

  • Take your best shot and submit one pet photo by 12 p.m. Feb. 7. Photos must be new images taken since Jan. 1, 2014. No archival photos will be accepted.
  • All eligible submissions will be posted in an album on Working@Duke's Facebook page on Feb. 10.
  • Visit the album and vote for your favorite pet photo any time from 9 a.m. Feb. 10 to 4 p.m. Feb. 13. (You must have a Facebook account to vote).
  • The photo with the most "likes" will receive a grand prize - a gift from Duke Stores to be shared with the winning pet. Working@Duke judges will also award prizes for the cutest picture and the photo that best includes a Duke theme.
  • Winners will be announced on Facebook and Duke Today on Feb. 17.
