Fan Wang Wins NIH Pioneer Award

Fan Wang, Ph.D., an associate professor in neurobiology and cell biology in the Medical School, has been awarded one of 12 NIH Pioneer Awards for 2013. The special recognition from NIH  challenges investigators to develop high-risk, high-impact investigations on a broad area of biomedical or behavioral research. Wang studies the neural basis of the sense of touch, using mouse whiskers as a model system.
