Pride on Parade, 2013

Members of the Duke community cheer as their float travels down the parade route Saturday for the 29th annual NC Pride Parade.  With a new parade route to avoid the Main Street construction, the parade attracted several thousand people, many dressed colorfully and bringing a lot of energy.

In addition to the parade, it also was a historic weekend for the LGBT community at Duke because the university opened its new Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity.  See President Brodhead's comments at the opening here.
