Following their 58-55 loss to University of Pittsburgh over the weekend, the 2-2 Duke football team is now preparing to host thousands of excited employees and their families on Saturday.

This weekend marks the return of the Employee Kickoff Celebration, which has already seen faculty and staff request about 20,000 tickets to see the Blue Devils host Troy University. Kickoff is at 3 p.m., but festivities begin at noon outside Wilson Recreation Center and include music, inflatable games, face painting and a catered meal. Employees who didn't register for tickets online can request tickets at the employee ticket table by K-Ville during the Kickoff event.

With a nearly or completely full stadium expected, Duke Athletics and Parking and Transportation Services are advising faculty and staff to plan ahead for gameday.

As Blue Devil fans prepare for this week's gridiron action, here are tips to help prepare:

Parking

Parking is free for Duke employees who present a valid Duke parking permit. Otherwise, parking costs $10 (cash only). Visit GoDuke.com for directions on how to get to public parking lots.

To make it easier for fans to get to the game, Duke Parking and Transportation Services will run shuttles from several lots. Shuttles will travel between the H Lot and PGI to the Chapel Drive circle in front of Duke Chapel.

Shuttles will run from 11 a.m. to approximately 7:30 p.m. (or until one hour after the game) every 15 to 20 minutes, depending on traffic flow. Pick-up locations will be the intersections of Flowers Drive-Yearby Avenue and Flowers-Trent drives. The drop-off location will be the intersection of Flowers and Trent drives.

Additional public parking will be available in Park and Walk Lots, which include the Chemistry, Circuit Drive and the Research Drive Parking Garage, but these lots will not include shuttle service. General public parking for persons with disabilities will be located in the B-2, B-4 and B-7 portions of the Blue Zone. An accessible lift-equipped van will be available for individuals needing wheelchair lift assistance from any parking area.

Staff will be available at each parking lot location to assist visitors. Check out Duke Athletics' "A-Z Gameday Guide" for more traffic and parking information.
