Melaina Wright, a Wellesley College biology student studying this summer at the Duke Marine Lab, dons a shark outfit to help local Beaufort students celebrate the marine lab's open house this past weekend. At the event, Duke Marine Lab faculty and graduate students shared their research in marine science and conservation.
Activities also included a touch tank, hands-on activities for kids, demonstrations in research labs, and artwork by local artist, Elizabeth Priddy.
