Duke in Pictures: New Buildings at Campus Farm

Duke Campus Farm is adding new permanent structures

Duke Campus Farm is adding two new structures to the one-acre farm on Friends School Road.Beginning in July, construction crews began building a 1,700-square feet pavilion and 144-square feet storage shed for the farm. Both are anticipated to be complete in mid-September.Emily Sloss, manager for the farm, said the storage shed will hold a slew of farming tools, including rakes, tillers and more. The pavilion will be free for Duke community members to use for team building exercises, retreats and more. Once the structure is complete, students and employees can request use of the pavilion by emailing Sloss at emily.sloss@duke.edu. Duke community members can also volunteer at the farm during community workdays on Thursdays and Sundays.Visit Duke Today: Working@Duke in September for more news about the construction.
