News Tip: Legal Expert Available to Comment on Mike Peterson Case

Duke law professor Thomas Metzloff can discuss ruling in Mike Peterson case.

The North Carolina Court of Appeals issued a ruling Tuesday morning upholding a lower court's decision to give Durham author Mike Peterson a new trial in the 2001 murder of his wife. Peterson was released from jail in 2011 amid concerns that a key witness in his original trial, former State Bureau of Investigation blood analyst Duane Deaver, gave false and misleading testimony.
