Bryan Center All Clear Following Bomb Threat [Updated]

All clear given after search of building; normal operations resume

Police and security personnel have now searched the Bryan Center and cleared the building for use. Normal operations are now resuming. Members of the Duke community are encouraged to contact Duke Police (919-684-2444) if they see anything suspicious. If you have any information related to this incident, please contact the Duke Police Department at 919-684-2444 or by submitting a report online.

[Update: 8:59 a.m. April 16, 2013]

The Bryan Center is secure. A preliminary sweep of the building did not uncover anything of concern. The all clear has not been issued.

Durham Police received an anonymous call this morning indicating that a bomb was in the Bryan Center.  

The building was evacuated as a precaution and is now being searched. 

A DukeALERT email and text message was sent to Duke faculty, staff and students advising them to avoid the area until the building has been cleared.
