Slots still remain for Friday's media training workshop for faculty and other Duke community members, but you must sign up by 3 p.m. Thursday.
The workshop, which will run from 9-11:30 a.m. Friday in the Fitzpatrick Center's Schiciano Auditorium, will teach you how to handle an interview and become a source for reporters; how to write an op-ed article; and how to balance media outreach with other academic priorities.
This is the 11th consecutive year that Duke’s Office of News & Communications (ONC) will sponsor the workshop, which is designed to be short and practical, and includes discussions with faculty who regularly appear in the media as well as opportunities for several attendees to sit in the TV "hot seat" for a mock interview.
