Arrest in Armed Robbery Near East Campus
Durham, NC - A Durham man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery Dec. 10 on West Markham Avenue near Lancaster Street.
Durham Police arrested Kevin Terrell Thompson, 19, of Sedgefield Street, on charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon and receiving stolen goods. According to Kammie Michael, public information officer for Durham Police, Thompson approached a Duke employee at gunpoint around 12:30 a.m. then fled with the employee's backpack, wallet, laptop, phone and phone charger.
Thompson is in the Durham County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bond.
