Traffic Advisory: Construction on Main Street

Work is scheduled from Nov. 30 to Dec. 15

Durham, NC - Motorists traveling along Main Street may experience some delays starting Friday.

The North Carolina Department of Transportation will continue construction on drainage installation, milling, resurfacing and striping on Main Street from Friday, Nov. 30 to Dec. 15. Work will take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays, when one lane of traffic will be allowed through areas of work. Work may also take place on weekends at varying times.

This Friday, Nov. 30, construction will begin near the Main Street-Swift Avenue intersection from Main Street to Caswell Place. Starting Dec. 3, work will take place from the Main Street-15th Street intersection and move along Main Street toward Buchanan Boulevard.

During construction work hours, crews will be on hand to direct traffic.
