Traffic Advisory: Construction on Main Street
Work is scheduled from Oct. 8 to Dec. 7
Motorists traveling along Main Street may experience some delays starting next week.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation will begin construction on drainage installation, milling, resurfacing and striping on Main Street from Oct. 8 to Dec. 7. Work will take place between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays, when one lane of traffic will be allowed through areas of work. Work may also take place on weekends at varying times.
Crews will start construction at the Main Street-15th Street intersection and move along Main Street toward Buchanan Boulevard. It will also include work on Swift Avenue from Main Street to Caswell Place.
During construction work hours, crews will be on hand to direct traffic.
