Where at Duke is the Blue Devil?

Flat Blue Devil hits high seas at the Global Education Office for Undergraduates

Flat Blue Devil is making a trek from his home in Durham across the Atlantic on a 7-feet tall, 12-feet wide map that acts as wall paper at the Global Education Office for Undergraduates' space in Smith Warehouse. The goal of the office is to enhance the internationalization of the undergraduate experience at Duke.

Margaret Riley, assistant vice provost for Undergraduate Global Education, said the giant map acts as a focal point of the office, which helps send Duke students across the globe to places like China and Ireland to enhance their Duke experience.

"Nearly half of each graduating class has a credit-bearing global experience before leaving Duke," Riley said. "Our commitment is to bring the world to Duke students and open it up to help them become global citizens."
