For the fifth consecutive year, the Duke community celebrated Coming Out Day Thursday on the Plaza.  Sponsored annually by the Center for LGBT Life, the event's Love=Love tee shirt has become one of the most popular t-shirt on campus and has inspired similar shirts on other college campuses.  

Janie Long, director of the LGBT Center, said the event Iis a sign of both increased visibility by the LGBTQ community on the Duke campus and increased support of allies across campus.  

Long added that this year's event was the biggest yet.
