Traffic Advisory: Pipe Replacement On Trent Drive
Durham, NC - Construction work to replace an underground utility pipe on Trent Drive will affect evening traffic flow Aug. 8 through Aug. 13.
From 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., a section of Trent Drive will be reduced to two lanes as the right lanes will be closed and barricaded. During the day, all lanes will be open and the excavation will be covered with steel plates. The right lanes are scheduled to fully open Aug. 14.
A traffic pattern change sign will be provided to alert drivers of the change, and construction barrels and fencing will be used to protect the work area. Additionally, signs defining pedestrian detours will be erected.
Immediately following the right lane completion, the project will move to the left lanes and work will be performed in the same manner. Another traffic update will be provided as that phase draws near.
