Duke in Pictures: Duke Police Help With Student Move-in

Hundreds of first-year students and their families arrive to East Campus today

Above, Lt. Marshall Thompson, left, and investigator William Higgins direct traffic during first-year student move-in on Aug. 21. Families with full cars, SUVs, vans, and trucks started lining up on Campus Drive by 7 a.m. to move into residence halls on East Campus. Members of the Duke University Police Department were spread across campus to assist with traffic flow.

Below, crime prevention manager David Williams hands out wallet cards with Duke Police contact information to families and students as they pass by.
