Traffic Advisory: Pipe Replacement On Medicine Circle

Traffic Advisory: Pipe Replacement On Medicine Circle

Section of Medicine Drive to be reduced to a single lane July 23-August 8

print |

Durham, NC - An underground utility steam condensate pipe replacement on Medicine Circle is scheduled for July 23 through August 8.

This construction project will affect traffic flow on Medicine Circle for three weeks.

During this period, a section of Medicine Drive will be reduced to a single lane as a portion of the left lane will close and be barricaded. This lane closure begins at 6 p.m. Monday, July 23, and the lane will remain closed until Wednesday, August 8.

A traffic pattern change sign will be provided to alert drivers of the change, and construction barrels and fencing will be used to protect the work area. Additionally, signage defining pedestrian detours will be erected.

After this road work is complete, the project will move to other parts of Trent and Flowers drives.

Here's a diagram of the proposed construction area.
