Annual sale this weekend includes pianos priced from $3,000 to $80,000

Pianos from across the university are on sale this weekend during Duke's annual piano sale.

The sale, which offers prices from about $3,000 for vertical pianos to $80,000 for grand pianos, is open to the public from noon to 5 p.m. July 14 and 15 at the Freeman Center at 1415 Faber St. Pianos for sale were on loan to Duke from Hopper Piano and Organ of Raleigh and have been used in buildings across campus, including the International House and student residence halls. Brands include Steinway, Boston, Essex, and Taylor.

Onsite financing is available for customers. Vic Barfield, president of Hopper Piano and Organ, said a 5 to 10 percent down payment is required and pricing options vary. Delivery and technical services are also available to buyers. For more information, call (919) 613-4565.
