Batter Up! Save At Durham Bulls Games
Durham, NC - It's the iconic summer picture: Fans in the bleachers with hotdogs in hand, cheering at the crack of the bat.
Now you can get in the picture at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park and save at the same time.
PERQS, the Duke employee discount program, has a special offer for the Aug. 3-5 Durham Bulls baseball games against the Gwinnett Braves from Atlanta and the Aug. 31 game against the Charlotte Knights.
With the discount, employees can purchase $12 terrace reserved seats or $10 outfield reserved seats, a $2 to $3 savings per ticket. In addition to the savings, each ticket holder receives $5 in Bulls Bucks - dollar-for-dollar credits for concessions and merchandise at the ballpark.
Linda Tymann, a data technician with Duke's Department of Community and Family Medicine, has used the discount to take the family to Durham Bulls games.
"Baseball is my husband's favorite sport, and we love going to Bulls games because you can get up close and personal if you want," Tymann said. "Because of the farm system, you might see a guy playing with the Bulls one week and the next week, he might be playing in the majors. That's exciting."
Duke employees can purchase discount tickets online through Duke PERQS or by calling (919) 956-BULL (2855). The $5 in Bulls Bucks is loaded onto the barcode of each ticket.
The discount is for the following games:
- Friday, Aug. 3 at 7:05 p.m. (fireworks following the game)
- Saturday, Aug. 4 at 7:05 p.m. (fireworks following the game)
- Sunday, Aug. 5 at 5:05 p.m. (kids run the bases)
- Friday, Aug. 31 at 7:05 p.m. (fireworks following the game)
