Brodie Rec Center Reopened

Brodie Rec Center Reopened

Air conditioning repairs have kept the building closed since June 29

Durham, NC - The Brodie Recreation Center will remain closed until 5 p.m. today due to ongoing issues stemming from a malfunctioning part with the air conditioning system at the building. Brodie will also be open July 4 for its normal schedule of 7 a.m. to midnight.

The air conditioning system failed on June 29, prompting Duke Recreation and Physical Education to close the building because of record-setting heat felt in the Triangle over the weekend.

Meghan Weiseman, facility coordinator for Brodie, said that staff from Duke's Facilities Management expects to fix the problem today. For updates on the Brodie Recreation Center, visit the Duke Recreation and Physical Education website.
