Members of the North Carolina Central University track and field team hold an Olympic torch, as a casket carrying the body of LeRoy Walker Sr. is wheeled out of Duke Chapel Tuesday morning.

More than 500 people attended the two-hour funeral service for Walker, a former president of the U.S. Olympic Committee and chancellor of NCCU. The service included the reading of letters from President Barack Obama and Governor Beverly Perdue.
