Duke in Pictures: TIP Recognition Ceremony

Hundreds of seventh graders from around the country arrived at the Cameron Indoor Stadium Monday for the Talent Identification Program's Grand Recognition Ceremony, which honors those seventh graders who tested among the top three percent of students taking the SAT or ACT. The students scored an 1850 or greater and a 27 or higher on some sections of the ACT.

Nicholas School Dean William Chameides spoke to the students about his intellectual heroes that inspired him to a career in environmental research. "Okay, so perhaps you decided to change the world; how do you go about that?... It's not so much what choice you make, but what you do after the choice is made."
