Buy Austin Rivers' Gameday Wardrobe (Almost)
Durham, NC - This weekend, Duke students, employees and community members can sort through piles of authentic Duke Athletics gear - clothing, shoes and more - at garage sale prices.
The third annual Duke Athletics' "surplus sale" is 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, June 1, and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 2, in the Card Gymnasium, next to Cameron Indoor Stadium.
"The annual surplus sale gives Duke fans an opportunity to stock up on the same gear that the coaches and student-athletes wear at a reduced price," said Gerald Harrison, director of Human Resources for Duke Athletics. "It's a perfect way to rack up on gifts for all occasions and people of all sizes. We're excited to provide the Duke Community with this opportunity each year."
Fans of all ages will be able to dig through thousands of discounted clothing items, including shirts, shoes, game-worn uniforms and more. Prices range from $5 for shirts to $40 for shoes.
In the past two years, the surplus sale has raised thousands of dollars to support Duke Athletics by selling nearly 16,000 Duke items, including about 4,100 T-shirts and slightly more than 1,100 jerseys.
Brands available at this year's sale include Asics, Adidas, Nike, Under Armour and others. Sizes of women's clothing range from extra small to large; men's sizes vary from small to 4XL. Tall lengths are also available. All items - except for game-worn jerseys - are brand-new.
Parking will be available in the Whitford Lots. Cash, checks, FLEX and credit cards will be accepted. All sales are final. No exchanges or returns. All quantities in all sizes of all items are limited.
